  GLORAD is short for the “Competence Center for Global R&D Management”, located at Tsinghua University, P.R. China and 

  the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland. GLORAD establishes a research axis between those two institutions as well as

  other research organizations and scientists worldwide.

  GLOR&D’s mission is

to advance progress in science and management in the areas of international R&D management, global technology, and transnational innovation

  Given this mission, our principal research areas for the 2003-2007 period are:

• R&D and innovation in China

• transnational R&D management and organization

• global innovation, incubation, and technology-based entrepreneurship

  Associated researchers work on joint projects, activities and programs to further this mission.

  Results of GLORAD’s research are going into education, teaching, and publications, as well as managerial advice to

  partnering companies and organizations. It is one of the leading principles of the members of GLORAD that good research

  must be relevant, either to the academic community or to industry practitioners.
